Intended Audience:

The cases are designed for pathologists who want to expand their knowledge of unique cases and cases seen in their daily practice.

ACGME Core Competencies:


Objectives:

After participating in this activity, pathologists will be able to:

  1. Identify specific knowledge that relates to clinical pathology but may not be part of the daily care in pathology.
  2. Cite specific text and studies that demonstrate evidence-based reasons for following specific action plans related to clinical cases in pathology.
  3. Use the information learned and reviewed to change or improve their practice and patient care methods.
  4. Identify areas where further study may be needed based on the analysis of their answers.
  5. Demonstrate medical knowledge of diagnosis by passing a test.

Passing Requirements:

CME/SAM can be claimed upon completion of this educational activity. Those participants who correctly answer 100% or more of the post-test items may apply their earned credit(s) to the American Board of Pathology (ABP) Self-Assessment Module (SAM) requirements. Participants are able to retake the test until they achieve the passing rate.
